Ehab former director/manager of the Reda Troupe, was one of Mahmoud Reda and Farida Fahmy’s students. He joined the Troupe at the end of 1977, passed their test, and was one of six dancers chosen to join the troupe from among 600 applicant dancers. Ehab immediately started to prove himself as an exceptional talent, and began performing many lead roles in various shows. In 1990 when M. Reda and Mdm. Fahmy assumed full control of the Reda National Troupe, Ehab was giving the Lead role as performer for the troupe. Later he stepped into the role as a trainer both at the main training center, as well as for the professional troupe. Once M. Reda stepped down from Director in 1997, Ehab was contacted to help save the troupe. Later he became official manager and director in 2008, appointed by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. Following many years with the Egyptian National Troupe and the Ministry of Culture, Ehab left post 2012. Then with permission and supervision from M. Reda and Mdm. Fahmy, Ehab formed Mahmoud Reda’s Private Troupe.
Ehab Hasan graduated in 1982 from the Faculty of Music Education and earned many degrees in training and Latin dancing from the USA in 1992 & 1994. He founded the first arts center in Egypt in 1980 where he used to teach all types of dancing, arts, and playing music. He is a font of information in all the arts.

Class Schedule

Saidi Dance is an ancient folkloric dance form Upper Egypt. It combines martial arts movements (known as tahteeb) performed with a staff or cane (assaya). Traditionally, men perform tahteeb, as the ancient Egyptians used it as combat training for battle. The women perform a more theatrical style of tahteeb, called raqs assaya, celebrating the specialized combat skills, which was popularized by Mahmoud Reda, an Egyptian choreographer. They dance with lighter weight canes, and flaunt the ease of maneuvering them with lots of twirls, sometimes dancing with two canes simultaneously. Footwork in this dance often mimics the majestic white Egyptian horses. Traditionally, a loose fitting galabiya is worn both by men and women when performing, with a turban or headscarf. Women will also wear a scarf tied around their hips to showcase the movement.

Raks Sharqi with Jillina’s is unique style. This choreography is full of exciting steps beautifully blended with expression and technique.
Move to various tempos and explore the rich instrumentation, This is a unique choreography to add to your vocabulary.

Muwashahat (also spelled muwashshahat) is the plural of muwashah (also spelled muwashshah), which is a genre of Arabic poetry in musical form that dates back to 10th century Moorish Spain (Al-Andalus)! Today, these traditions are still popular in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Syria and Lebanon.
There is no reference for how people danced to this type of music back then, but in the 1970’s the famous Egyptian choreographer Mahmoud Reda presented the muwashah as a dance spectacle on a stage for the first time in modern history. He invented this new genre of dance by imagining how the rhythmic patterns and lyrics in this type of music should be expressed, while adhering to Middle Eastern aesthetics and cultural norms.

This drum solo will explore intricate hip technique, various types of shimmies as well as challenge you on isolation technique.
Learn how to control your body and translate the music through your moves.

Jillina will share her unique Bellydance Evolution fusion style form her theatrical productions. Exploring unique approaches to shapes and textures, using near middle-astern theatrical music, this class will take you on a journey beyond bellydance.
