Expect the best at Arabesque. At Lexington’s premier belly dance studio, you’ll find a full list of dance styles to learn. Through our talented teachers, as well as visiting workshop instructors, you’ll have access to traditional and folkloric dances from across the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean. All ages and fitness levels welcome. Classes for beginners to advanced. Additional class subjects include fusion belly dance, yoga and flow arts!
Class Attire and Supplies
It’s easier to learn a dance form if you practice in clothes that complement your movements and do not hinder them, so here are a few suggestions…
Wear comfortable exercise clothes such as a Unitard, Leotard with tights, or a Crop top/tank top and yoga pants. A colorful scarf or shawl to tie around hips is a must, and dance shoes are recommended to protect your feet, and prevent torquing of ankles and knees.
Students will eventually need a three yard veil and finger cymbals; this will be discussed in detail at class.
Pricing & Payment Options
Arabesque has a number of ways to purchase classes in order to better serve our students and to help custom tailor a plan that best suits each individuals needs. The prices below include all regular scheduled classes(ie. Choreo, Intro to Belly Dance, FUNdamentals, Yoga, Drumming, Ballet Barre, Belly Dance Bootcamp, Belly Dance Tech & Combo classes, etc.) The prices below do not include Workshops or Specialty Classes.
- Drop in Fee – 1-hour class $15. 2-hour class $20
- 6 Class Card –Â $70. May be used for any regular classes. Expires 2 months from date of purchase.
- 10 Class Card –Â $100. May be used for any regular classes. Expires 3 months from date of purchase.
- Sessions –Â Six class session $60. Eight class session $80 (The session has set dates that must be attended. 1 make-up class per session is permitted.)
- One Month Membership (No Contract) – $85. Must be paid in full at the beginning of the month. Unlimited use for any regular classes on the schedule. Membership holders receive 10% discount on all Workshops and Specialty Classes.
Prepaid Class Cards
For your convenience, class cards can be purchased through this secure PayPal account. A nominal processing fee has been added. Please let Safiya know if you would prefer your card to be mailed or if you wish to receive it at your first class.
