July 21st Gallery Hop at Arabesque World dance will showcase a number of visiting performers that will join with Arabesque in an amazing evening of Spanish Fusion and Latin Dance. We will be exploring Latin American Dance as well as styles from Spain that had strong moorish influence.
Skirt Dances, Zambra Mora, Flamenco Fusion, Theatrical Aztec Dance, Mexican Folkloric Dances and some Cuban style Salsa!
Our performers throughout the evening will be:
Safiya Nawaar, Hala Alimah, The Salsa Center of Lexington, Aguila Blanca, and Tradiciones de mi Tierra,
The performers will be bringing a colorful history of dance and music to the stage. And, it doesn’t end there!
Enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine through Fooding Vending provided by the taqueria “El Antojito “
Our studio will transform into a theater style venue for the evening as we open our doors to Gallery Hop visitors from 5 pm to 9 pm.
The show is complimentary and all ages are welcome! Performances take place throughout the evening.
Our featured visual artist for July will be announced soon!
Previous Hop’s have been very well received and we hope to continue introducing culture to the community through dance and music. As importantly, we hope to continue collaborating with local visual artists as they are invited to come out to the show, set up their easels, and capture the moment on canvas.
A special guest for the May Hop will be El Pulso, Lexington’s new Spanish Radio Station. They will be joining us for the evening, so make sure to stop by their table and introduce yourself. Lets make this a night to remember!
So, come on out and “Let our Stage be the Canvas” as we create our Artwork of Music, Movement & Emotion…
